Linguitronics uses CAT applications for a wide range of translations, especially in the legal, technology and technical writing fields where the rate of text repetition is high and version updates are frequent.
CAT(Computer-Aided Translation)
Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) uses databases, intelligent query and comparative functions to assist human translation. CAT offers the advantages of shorter translation time, consistency and lower cost. CAT tools can be categorized into TM (Translation Memory) and software localization tools. The best known TM tools are Trados, SDLX, IBM TM/Win and Logoport. Software localization tools include Catalyst, Passolo, RC-WinTrans, Microsoft Helium, Microsoft LocStudio and Star Transit.
